crazy radicals!

I am so grateful to live in America and be able to voice my opinion so I am going to take that opportunity now! In South Ogden, Utah (not too far from me) an African American family came home after Pres. elect Obama was voted into office to hang an American flag in support. Later that night someone burned their flag. It was so moving for me to see Pres. elect Obama's speech and regardless if you supported him or not, you must admit it was a great moment in history. For me it was so amazing, finally we can tell our children anyone can be president. Regardless of race, religion or gender and it is true. Then to have these crazy radicals torch someones flag on their own front porch? This is a giant step back in my opinion. What gives them the right to put others lives in danger? If you don't like that Obama made it into office you will have a chance in 4 more years to change it. This family legally voiced their opinion...The crazy people that torched their flag did not. You can't vandalize someones property to make your point. Does anyone else find this repulsive? This was a hate crime! If you don't like the choice that the people of this great nation made, move somewhere that your choices are made for you.

Thanksgiving

I spend too much time complaining, so I decided to list some things that I am Thankful for. I am hoping this will lift my spirits!

1. I am thankful for my wonderful husband. He is such a good father and he works really hard to provide for us. One of my favorite things he does is rub my belly. He always tells me how much he loves my belly (I always think he is crazy, but it makes me feel good that he still thinks I'm beautiful)

2. Of course I am so thankful for my little Parker. I guess he isn't so little anymore! I can't believe how fast he is growing up. He is a little stinker sometimes, but he is so loving and he does help me out a lot. I love doing fun crafts with him and watching him learn and grow. And our little Sarah, we love her already and look forward to holding her in our arms. *this doesnt mean now little girl...stay put until you are ready! :) (she seems to be a little anxious to get here. I have been contracting again and already had to have them stopped.)

3. I am thankful to have a place to call home! I love our little duplex, and as much as I would like to have my own home this is great for right now. We have enough room for our family and I love the area.

4. I am thankful for mine and Ryan's family. I have great siblings and in-laws. I am glad that we all get along and I am so thankful for all of the love and support we get from them. We can always count on them and they are more than willing to help us with anything we need.

5. I am thankful for my great friends! It doesn't seem like I have as many friends as I used to, but the ones I have are so amazing and they are always here for me. Megan and Mel are the best, and I am so glad that we have remained friends for so long. I have other great friends, but these two have a special place in my heart.

The list could go on and on, but my house needs a bit of picking up before I head to bed! I am so glad that we have this time of year to look back on things we are thankful for. I really do have so many great things/people in my life. Love you all!

It's a...

This pumpkin is supposed to say It's a Girl! :) It was really hard to carve because it was so small!
It's a GIRL! We went to the doctor today for my ultra sound. She was very stubborn and did not want us to mess around with her. The ultra sound tech had a hard time measuring her and she is very modest. She would not uncross her legs for anything! We finally got a good shot of her bum and legs and there wasn't anything there, so hopefully she is still a girl the next time we check! She looks very healthy and she is as low as ever, just like her brother was. Parker went with us and was so good. He just watched the baby the whole time, I was so proud of him! We will name our little girl Sarah. Parker has been calling her baby Sarah, so we decided that he could name her.

Picture Tag

This is what you do.....You go to your pictures area on your computer and pick the 4th folder and 4th picture and then explain it!

This is when my friends from Australia came to visit. We took a girls trip to Vegas because they had never been before. This was our lucky pokey! We were sitting at in and got carded! When they saw we really were 21, they gave us $25 bucks!

I tag Vanessa, Haylee, Tiff, and Sharon!

Dino Park fun

On Saturday night we went to the dinosaur park. They do some fun things for Halloween. My sister and her family came with us. It was so fun to have them there and Paker loves his cousins.
Here are Tay and Parker at the pumpkin wall. It was hard to get a good picture with both of them looking because it was dark and we couldnt see their faces when we were taking them.

Taylie was a beautiful princess and Parker was a Tiger. Parker really got into character as you can see. He was growling and crawling around on the floor. We love getting together with our family, and it's always a great to see my sister and her family.

pumpkin patch

Parker and daddy went sliding at the corn maze. It was a lot of fun and I was so proud of Parker, he walked the whole maze. What a trooper he was after a long day of Pumkin hunting. He was so tiredm but loved getting lost. He kept saying "oh no, we are lost! oh no!" He wasent really scared, he just always has to be saying something.

After Parker picked out his pumpkin, he was done and sat on a pumpkin, I guess he made his decision and he was DONE!

This is the one! He found a cute little pumkin with a great stem. He was such a big boy picking his very own pumpkin this year. I miss the baby stage sometimes, but it sure is fun to watch him grow and experience new things.

This is one of my favorites of the day! Parker with his puppy. He has had this puppy for about a year now, and it is his best buddy! I even had to find another on ebay because Kohls stopped carrying them. He had so much fun, and we had a great family day together!

Nephi vs. Nemo

We were watching general conference Sunday, enjoying being in our Jammie's! Parker was crazy running around here and there, not at all interested. In a talk they had mentioned Nephi. Parker quickly piped up say Nemo, Nemo! We tried to correct him, telling him about Nephi, but he wasn't having it! It was so cute. At least we know he was somewhat listening. It's amazing what they pick up when you least expect it. It just goes to show that we just need to talk to our children and teach them. They will listen, even if you think they aren't.

mothers

REAL MOTHERS
*Real Mothers do not eat quiche; they do not have time to make it.
*Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably still in the sandbox.
*Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy Ovens and happy kids.
*Real Mothers know that dried play dough does Not come out of shag carpets.
*Real Mothers do not want to know what the Vacuum just sucked up.
*Real Mothers sometimes ask, 'Why me?' and get their Answer when a little voice says, 'Because I love you best.
*Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not Measured by height or years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mama, to Mom, to Mother.
I love this, It sums up exactly how I feel. I love being a mother. It is so challenging sometimes, but so worth it. I love when I am about at the end of my rope and Parker comes up to me and says "love you mommy." I am so thankful for my little man!

parkers new tricks...

I just had to blog about the many funny things my boy has been doing. He amazes us everyday with all of the new things he comes up with. This weekend we started putting our Halloween and Fall decorations up. We had these fake eyeballs that are, to say the least, disgusting! They are sticky and gooey. So, Ryan grabbed the eyeball and covered his hand over his eye saying "oh my eye, my eye" and then put his hand down showing the eye ball. So then Parker did it, at first I thought he was really upset, then he started grinning and laughing so hard! I guess I have a little actor on my hands. Now he runs around the house saying "oh my eye, my eye" Hopefully he only does it at home and not at nursery on sunday! What do you think, should I warn them? Naw...that wouldnt be any fun! :)

Also he started playing hide and seek. We were all sitting on the couch and he covered his eyes saying, "3, 4, 5, here I come." We have no idea where he got this from! I asked my grandma because we have been spending a lot of time at her house while I was recovering and she said she didnt teach him that. I can't believe how smart these little guys are! Parker learns so much everyday and he actually retains the information. The kid has a mind of steel, we better be careful! Well, I just had to brag about my smart little cookie!

would you like any cheese with that whine?

I had my gall bladder taken out last Monday. They said it would take about a week to recover. Now I'm at a week and a half and I am still struggling. I just want to be able to pick Parker up ( I still do every once in a while, and then it seems like I have yet another set back. I never learn!) I wish I were "normal" and was up and going this week. I guess my body is trying to take care of a baby as its first priority and so whatever is left over is going to my recovery. It makes sense, but it is still so frustrating to not be able to take care of my family the way I would like to. Thank you for all of the love and prayers, we appreciate all of our wonderful family and friends!

On a less whiny note, we will find out the sex of our baby the 20th of October. We are so excited and whatever we have we will welcome to our family with open arms. Parker has been telling us its a girl baby so we will see if he is right. He seems to know that I am having a baby. He points to my belly and says "hi baby in there!" and kisses my belly. Not sure if he really understands it or not, but either way it's so cute! You can bet I will announce to you all as soon as we find out!

I'm going to give this another try...

I tried this blogging thing once and it didnt work out so well. I forgot all my passwords and usernames. (I am now learning from my mistakes and writing them down!) SO, my favorite family and friends, please be patient with me while I figure this out! I have loved reading all of your blogs and hope mine will be just as exciting for you as yours have been for me.
